Thank you! It's like an RPG party of villain companions. When I write frumentarii masquerading as normal people, I leaf through my memory for inspiration from movies, shows, and books that portray vampires blending in, actually. Just a pinch of inspiration but it goes a long way.

Haha I failed to express myself just then. I think I was trying to tell you thank you for seeing my attempt to humanize them and give them their own motivations and backstories, but at the same time, I try to give them just a pinch of creepy otherness to set them apart.. they've each lost their soul or sold their soul. Different reasons, different stories.

Interesting way to look at it. I've often wondered about the dual nature of their jobs, and if it's made them question before. After all, they can't go undercover and see that the other side is crappy and disgusting all the time.

I think you may find it interesting if you try to figure out why each of the "away team" frumentarii does not defect. What keeps Picus from telling Hsu? What keeps Fox from running away into the desert? Why is this female frumentaria helping them??? etc..

Thanks for reading!!

First off, I want to say a big gigantic kudos to you for being one of the only authors I've seen who actually acknowledges that chicks can get pregnant without certain interventions. Thank you for that! It's one of those things that always take me out of a story when they just finish up and no one mentions that they're ridin' the baby train.

/mini-rant

Anywho, brilliant. Very well done, great characterization, detail, emotion. I never really considered Three Dog as a love interest, but you portray him so well it makes me love him as a character even more. I love the age/experience dynamic. He is clearly older -- he's still a man with desires, but he's a calmer and more confident sort of person and lover. Very hot. Bravo.

Haha, totally awesome! Thank you A/A for writing this! "Shoot the wings! Shoot the wings!" That part was so precious, totally reminded me of my own son...for better or for worse lmao

Hoolay! Since writing a fill is fulfilling someone's request for a story, I always oddly look at it as making a sort of gift for the OP. So while I love hearing what people thought of the piece, I'm always especially concerned with whether the OP liked it or not. Soooo I'm really glad you enjoyed it. :3

A!A here. Yeah, agreed on the baby-train deal. I can see where it must have appeal to some readers, but personally it's not my thing. A nice smut scene ends and I get caught up on thinking "well now you guys have gone and done it, start painting the peeling wallpaper yellow and scavenging a crib." Lol.

This LW got way too much personality on one of my playthroughs and I always pictured her having a schoolgirl crush on the dashing DJ's voice, and following his broadcast like a religion. So I just couldn't resist the prompt, heehee~ Glad I was able to write Three Dog somewhat believably, and thanks so much for the props!

Kuh-kuh-kuh-yeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah!!! [/Dr.Rockzomoment]

Glad you liked it, OP. I feel like I wanna do a series with Three Dog and this LW, but I have no idea what to use for plot (I can definitely do this smut thing more, but PWP I just can't). WHO KNOWS THOUGH, if I can get more Three Dog prompts for ideas... God it'd be fun.

Shades of Black and Blue - 1/?

(Anonymous) 2012-06-23 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Characters: Rose of Sharron Cassidy, Gloria van Graff, Jean-Baptiste Cutting, F!Courier
Pairings: Cass/Gloria van Graff
Relationship: Femslash
Kinks: Rough sex, dub-con, oral, fingering, possible strap-on, sub/dom, violence, water/breathplay, and possibly more.
Summary. F!Courier hands Cass over to the van Graffs and leaves her for dead. Gloria has other plans.

She wasn't scared. Fear was an overrated emotion, one that was so prominent in her system during early adulthood, that it hardly had an effect anymore. It was on those rare occasions where she felt that, truly, she was going to die, did she ever fear for her life. Even then, it probably affected her less than it should. That didn't mean it stopped her from thinking about it, though. Thoughts of death and how she would die buzzed around her mind on a fairly frequent basis. Hell, there were even times where she wanted, to die -welcomed it- and she never got what she wanted. Nowadays, she only wished to not die in a pathetic way, like choking to death on an ice cube when she took a shot of whiskey too fast. But, if she knew anything right now, it was that she was definitely not afraid.

Then what were these emotions that ran amuck in her system? Cass rattlered her thoughts to look for an anwer, something that could accurately describe her feelings.

There was anger, that was for certain. It almost didn't come as a surprise anymore. The feeling of anger was something that came to her so often. There was another thing. Hurt, and a feeling of utter betrayal. But why would she be feeling these? The answer was given by a sharp tug of her shirt collar.

Her eyes darted back to the present. It was the Courier, dragging her behind like she was some worn out toy. The emotions ran through her once more. Why was she doing this? The girl seemed nice enough; charming, and even had an attractive air about her. They also seemed to have gotten well over the couple of days they traveled together. She figured that was a lie.

Her hands were tied behind her back. She was also gagged, but the Courier did a shit job at that. Cass managed to spit out the dusty bandana that was shoved in her mouth, and vocalised her complaint.

"What the hell are you doing?" She asked, making a feeble attempt to pull free from the knots around her hands. What a useless gesture.

"Shut the fuck up," the Courier snapped, giving the collar of her shirt another tug. She snorted. So much for charming.

The pair walked a while longer through the miserable Freeside streets. Bums and drunks littered the alleyways, mumbling incoherent slurs to one another and picking fights. There were also children running after a giant rat. They must have been staving. Cass pitied them, the poor things.

Caught in her own thoughts of sympathy, she almost ran into her kidnapper, who responded with an elbow in the older woman's stomach. Cass growled.

Yeah, definitely not charming.

Her scorn was interrupted with the Courier's utterance.

"Look bright. We're here."

Cass looked up, almost wanting to ignore her instructions. Immmediately, her stomach knotted as she read the building's sign:

The Silver Rush.

Riding High - 1/1

(Anonymous) 2012-06-24 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
Characters: Rose of Sharron Cassidy, Courier
Relationship: Gen
Tags: Violence (?), Motorcycles?
Song: "Riding High" by the Koffin Kats ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHn4kJtBHnM )

The power was phenomenal, so much better than she expected. Never in her life would she ever imagine something this thrilling.

In all honesty, she didn't even know how she got it to work again. She sucked with tech, but after some switching of gears, some gas, and a new polishing job, it looked as if it never witnessed a nuclear apocolypse.

The vibrations, the noise, it rang music to her ears. The feeling of speed, velocity, pure power. Everything passed in blurs, the wind
whipping at her face. Fuck the hat, it was long gone, and there was no turning back. A smirk plastered her features.

Yes, she killed him. That fucking asshole of a Courier. She didn't care that he asked for her companionship, and she certianly didn't give a damn if he built a reputation with anyone, which he happened to form with the NCR, on surprisingly good terms. He was working with the Legion the whole time, and planned to kill them all. Not on her watch.

Of course no one believed her. Who would believe a drunk, they said. And, in honesty, she couldn't care what they thought anymore. She was a criminal, in all eyes, and they were on pursuit. She smiled at that fact.

The road was endless, and the wind's constant flow on her features cleared any thoughts of despair she might have had. Now it was all but pure bliss. She wasn't sorry, and it made her question whether she even had a conscience left.

Dogding speed bumps and ominous cracks, she revved the vehicle up once more. It growled to her grip. Perfection, all in this one machine, as it should.

Once they found her, she'd be dead. For some reason, that didn't bother her one bit.

She let out a manic laugh, assuring that, no, she had no conscience left, as she sped off into the distance. There was nowhere to turn but the road, and that was perfectly fine.

Ahhhhh yes! I love it when people capture Cass as an active, aggressive woman. She ain't going to take no shit from a two faced Courier, no sir. Thanks for posting!

All in a Day - 1/?

(Anonymous) 2012-06-25 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Characters: F!Courier, Rose of Sharron Cassidy
Relationship: Femslash
Pairings: F!Courier/Cass
Kinks: Oral, fingering, cumplay(?)
Summary: Good ol' fashioned lady fucking

The Courier was mouthy. Cursing, dissing, talking shit, and otherwise saying things she shouldn't say. Cass told her up front that she'd put that mouth to good use if she didn't shut the hell up. Of course, the girl wasn't one to listen, and Cass placed that source of verbal trash right between her legs. So there she was, naked in some abandoned shithole they claimed for the night, getting head by the delivery girl with a swearing problem.

That girl had a mouth, but fuck, she knew how to use it.

Cass let out a breathy moan as she felt the Courier's tongue slide along her drenched, aching sex. Her patterns were sporadic and messy, but she found herself bucking her hips as each wave of pleasure shot through her.

"Look at me," She ordered as her grip in the younger woman's hair grew tighter. Dulled nails dug into her scalp, and she responded with a growl. Her eyes met Cass's in a glare just as her lips wrapped around and sucked on her clit in spite. Another moan escaped through clenched teeth. Despite the nearing of her climax, she forced the Courier's month away. Their eyes met in another solid glare.

"It's my turn now, you little shit."

Awesomely written fic! I'm always glad to see more crazy Couriers like that (and like the above anon mentioned, American Psycho is one of my favourite novels as well, haha).
