Aint got no real place to call 'home'. Nomads I guess we are. Well... if you want to ask me anything, I'd be more than happy to tell you. I do gotta get back soon though. I have ....something huge I'm going to be undertaking in the next week and need to plan. I... I've been looking for additional hands; especially those who know what's up."
Phoenix casually threw it all out there. "Can't wait for the prize for doing all this shit. Fuck ton of caps, chems, booze...and enough weaponry to hold off anything to come our way. Gonna be hella dangerous though. But still... payoff would be well worth it. But I don't wanna bore you with that shit. I know you're comfortable here and stuff." Right then her stomach growled and she laughed. "Damn. Already hungry? Meh, I /did/ only have a handful of Sugar Bombs. What's the best place to eat at? And... we don't have to go to that place back there with the psycho chick or nothing." --- "Caps, chems and boozes, sounds like some good shit, but I'm a washed up old raider, who would want to waste their time with me? I mean someone from the inside could start attacking people from the inside of town, then a group of raiders could attack from the outer gate. I'm one/third of guarding group, best fucking shot in town, they would be lost without me. Hell the last time you guys came over, Simms almost shot me down a few times." He smirked as he turned his head to Kaci, "I used to lead raiding parties, back then the days. It was a lot of fucking work, but no one had the experience I had." He was teasing her or just showing off, he wanted to hear her say that she /wanted/ him, that she /needed/ him, but was he gonna get it? He could only push and hope he for the best.
"I joined the raiders at 17, you know, stayed with them for 25 fucking years, I was one of the oldest people there. I watched as good people died, younger people died, while I was still live. Fuckers like me shouldn't live as long as I did, raiders normally don't get to 40. I got out just in time but when I die, I want to die in a rain of bullets. Too bad you don't need an old man like me, it would be nice to see new people ruling over this town." --- As they walked and Jericho talked, Phoenix kept a straight face, though she was grinning inside. He was still a Raider. She'd known that much despite his earlier denial. "17 huh? That was a long time in the Raiders. You must be some kinda special to have survived." Looking him over, she then added, "Ya don't look much over 45 or so. Not bad. But yeah... maybe I'll tell ya about my group. How about we find something to eat and go somewhere a little less open. I don't like to chat about my stuff when others are around. I'm sure you totally get where I'm coming from."
Hell yeah. She knew once she asked him to join, he would. It'd be nice to have experience at her side, that was for damned sure. ---
