The old man couldn't help but smirk as the woman told her story, at that time in his young, taking lives was easy as taking a piss, things were different now. Still he stewed in thoughts about his past, not willing to unveil all his dirt in his first story. "We took over small town too, one just south of Megaton a few decades or so ago. We had a odd crew, a big one, a few of us craved over human flesh, I didn't part take in any of that, when I say I fucking ate someone, there is no fucking ingesting at all." Laughing softly at his own joke.
"So this place had two families, farmers I should say, they made good but they pissed on the wrong group. One of my men was so fucked up that he thought he would have a go with one of the bramin, fucker didn't even finish before getting shot by the farmer. When the news hit, our grow decided to pay a little visit to the locals." He breathed in his cigarette allowing it to trail out of his nostrils, " We were a big group, we lost a few people, but they lost more. The parents were the first to go, shot 'em so they couldn't run away, hung them upside down like cattle. Made the kids watch as we slit the throat of each parent, one by one. The kids were covered in blood by the time they were all dead..... then I let the cannibals after them. They ate them alive, letting them all watch as each layer of flesh was removed."
Jericho did will at hiding a shiver as he told the story, then it was great, then he was brutal... Images like this now haunt his mind, screaming kids was chemed up raider chewed off their fingers. The kids watching as heartless men and woman sucked their parents blood of the children's bodies. He tensed up after one of the raiders grinned at him as if to agree with the story as if to find it was funny as prewar humor. --- A shiver ran up Phoenix's spine with the telling of the tale and she could only breathe out, "Jesus.... I've seen some twisted shit in my life time but... never seen any cannibals doing their..deeds before. Dunno. Maybe I'm a little more of a soft heart than the Raiders of old - my ex wasn't soft at all. He didn't give a shit about nothing - and I'll tell ya right now: I don't give a rats ass about 99% of things. But kids...." She drew quiet then finished, "Life is cruel though. No one asks to be born and no one knows their ending."
Snapping out of her momentary whatever the fuck it was, Phoenix shrugged. Not much she could do for the past and hell, she had her own skeletons for damned sure; no one knew the full details about them and she doubted anyone /would/. "That musta been some fucked up shit to watch, man." was all she could say. She couldn't imagine having those kinds of memories.
"One time... we burned a place down and... people were in it and shit. But the wind blew just right and I swear I could hear em inside screaming in a way I'd never heard another human do. And I swear I could smell the air from the blaze turning more and more into the smell of a roast. Something I'll never forget. Molded a part of me or some shit." She shivered a bit more as that /was/ one of her skeletons - one of the biggest ones of hers to carry. Granted, Phoenix left out a LOT of detail and some pretty important facts but... something about Jericho's story prompted her to talk about it.
