“Care to explain?” Fox asked, voice deceptively calm as he motioned towards the mess she'd made.

I doubt that I can talk my way out of this one, not with a decapitated Fisto at my feet. Roxanna chanced a look at the man. His lips were pursed, arms crossed tightly over his chest as he waited for an answer. “I did it for science?” she offered lamely.

The two guards, whom had been standing just inside of the doorway on either side, guffawed at her answer, but stopped at the glare (or what Six assumed to be one under those sunglasses) from the Fox. He pinched the bridge of his nose, head shaking slightly at her weak defense. It wasn't any excuse, she knew that, but it was actually the truth. Her father did always tell her that one day her scientific curiosity was going to land her in a world of trouble. And, it would seem, that today was that day.

Fox stared at her then, his eye accessory doing nothing to lessen the intensity of his gaze, and Roxy found it to be the single most unnerving thing she'd ever had the displeasure of experiencing. Just as the silence became to be too much, his glare too penetrating, the King bust through the door with Cass hot on his heels.

“What's going on here?” he demanded, looking to his second for answers.

“See for yourself,” Fox sighed as he moved to give the new arrivals a better look.

The King's eyes went wide as he took in scene. “Whoa mama...”

“Dammit Rox!” Cass growled as she kicked a rather large piece of Fisto's head casing, “This is why we can't have nice things.”

Before the Courier could reply, two more bodies pushed their way into the room. The two men in the First Recon berets slid to a stop on either side of the King, scoped hunting rifles at the ready. “We heard a loud noise, is everything okay?” Manny asked.

“'Okay?' No. But nothing needs to be shot. You two can put those things away,” the King said.

“Huh?” the second beret barer who's name she never got looked around the room, eyes growing wider as he took in the details and pieced them together. “Damn.”

“That's an understatement,” Manny breathed.

“This is-” Roxy found herself being cut off once more by people stampeding into the room. This time it was the two walking chessboards and Arcade.

“Is everything in the groove Boss?” they asked as they peeked around the others.

“Considering the fact that our sexbot is laying beheaded on the floor, I'd say no, things are most certainly not 'in the groove,'” Fox sighed.

The men looked down at the aforementioned bot with gaping mouths. “Fisto!”

“He pulled in three hundred caps per customer easy!” the one on the right said. “And at three to four customers a night... ”

“Now you've done it Courier, that sexbot was worth eight thousand caps all by itself!” the one on the left cried.

Now it was Six's turn to go all wide eyed. “'Eight thousand caps...'” Eight thou- I don't! I can't! God, how many caps do I have saved up? Last I checked there was three thousand in the safe, but then Raul needed to get some spare parts to fix up our weapons and ED-E- that was seven-hundred. Then we had to pay off the Omertas last week after Cass and Veronica's little stunt in their casino- that takes off a thousand. And Arcade needed more medical supplies and Lily needed her flour to bake with, not to mention groceries and I'm pretty sure that I saw Veronica in a new dress yesterday and- Oh my God, I can't pay these people!
