Owl-Eagle taking her to task is WONDERFUL oh my god I love their relationship so much, and the fact that suddenly Lucinda doesn't get to make all the rules, there's another living Bird and an elder to boot, who'll hold her accountable. And the idea that she must earn her name--so much of what she's done working for the Legion has been to earn a name with them, show them what a woman can do, and for all that she can't get enough respect to get some lawn chairs. And it's like, for this she's sacrificed her name, for this she's become Shrike not Raven... and is it worth it. I've always loved the themes around identity in Lucy's stories and this just takes it to a whole new level.
