Oh, Rex! I love the dog, and this just broke my heart and made me all warm and fuzzy. (Like another anon pointed out, the first time I've cried in a story where the dog LIVES!) Just so perfect from his perspective, and so sweet.

"They try to say good words, but Rex knows he must have been a bad dog for all this to happen."

Everything was golden, but that line especially made me sniff.
