His climax is wordless, soundless. Caesar does not notice, at first, too lost in his reveries and the slick slapping sound of skin on skin, punctuated only by Vulpes' heavy breathing.... until he feels a warm spurt of ejaculation hit him on his chin.
Shocked, Caesar stills his fist and looks up at Vulpes' wide-eyed face, and for the first time in his life he sees unrestrained disbelief written across the Frumentarii leader's features.
"I think," Caesar states, feeling the viscous fluid drip down his jaw, "that you should go."
Vulpes is quick to agree, scrambling off of Caesars lap and hastily grabbing up his clothing. He dresses hurriedly, mumbling his goodbye without meeting Caesar's eyes as he exits the tent.
And only when Caesar is sure that the Vulpes is gone, tent door left open and flapping in the early morning breeze, does he allow himself to laugh. He wipes his hand along his chin, chuckling to himself.
Apparently, it had been a very long time for Vulpes Inculta as well.
